I'm very technical.
And my reasons are based on logical explanations.
Frederer, 28, held the #1 spot for a blistering 237weeks.
Nadal, his closest competitor is 23 yrs old. He's been #2 for a frustrating 160 weeks under Frederer's shadow. On Aug'08, Nadal took the #1 spot away from Frederer.
But is Nadal worthy enough to overshadow the great Frederer? Just think:
- Frederer, at 28, is probably past his best and Nadal, 5 years younger, is rightful to grab the #1 spot. But, after '09 Wimbledon, Frederer might reclaim the #1 spot again.
- So, the argument is: If Nadal is even as good as Frederer, why can't this bicep-pumping 23yr old defend his #1 spot against a 28yr old for even a year? Mind you, 5yrs difference is mega huge in this sport.
Why Murray will be the next greatness? Coz, just like Frederer, he doesn't make that Sharapova's constipating 'uuurrghh!' sound on every shot. Like Nadal does. So, go Murray GO!
Like I said, I'm very logical.
My first blog on Frederer was back in 2007 entitled Darth Frederer. Read it here.

I immediately visit this upon reading ur fb update (mau gaduh ka?) Can't u just continue writing about the gadget thingy?.. terganggu emosi nih
oh u pooper.
if federer is so amazingly good, y did he play like crap last year? i so have a feeling that he's winning coz nadal isn't playing. =)
nadal is going through recovery from an injury. for a fairer comparison, they should both play (and we shall compare in the next Masters Open) and see who wins -- AGAIN!
y u anti-nadal ar? coz he cuter than u is it? *teeheeeee*
nana, hehe jgn mara. its the wimbledon fever talking :)
chiaoju, after 13 slam titles and 237wks of consistency at top spot, ok lah if he play like crap last year. age factor some more. itu nadal cant even be consistent at #1 spot for a full year, then how lar to get into that 'hall of fame'. hehe.
Iffil, Nadal is injured at the moment and he is 5 years younger. So if ceteris paribus, then there is a likelihood Nadal will do greater than Mr Roger. Remember this is a sports, the ball is round, you may win today not forever. Anybody's game.. Lets see what happened next. What if Mr Roger break his ankle will pushing his baby for a wall. :)
I am in for Nadal.. (coz i am young ) :P
Oh dun forget the Englishmen Murray
Ndru,
Yea. On another note, lots of youngsters like Nadal coz he wears sleeveless and ‘bermuda’ length shorts. But, do you know that Nike has changed that in late ’08? Now he sports ‘normal’ tennis prop, with collar and stuff. It seemed that Nike felt that he should quit the ‘pirate’ look due to his #1 status since Aug’08. So, gone are the ‘cool’ factor. Sad right?
Well, now that he’s back at #2, maybe Nike will change back to his old ‘look’? I hope so.
And yup, Nadal and Murray are at their prime now. It won’t be long for their turn to be in the spotlight. Since Frederer has been confirmed as the greatest tennis player ever, I guess these 2 will have Frederer’s poster in their locker and utter “I want to be like this man” before every game.
Oh, pls tell Nadal not to make that ‘urrghhh’ sound. And pls don't backhands with both hands. It seriously makes him sound and look like a girl.
